WROCKSTOCK 2011:
October 28-31, 2011

We’re back and better than before! This year’s Wrockstock will again be held at YMCA Trout Lodge in Potosi Missouri. We have lots of exciting new and redesigned activities going on all weekend, along with massive amounts of Wizard Rock.

Hey Wrockstockers,

We find ourselves a week before Wrockstock begins with a deficit of people registered at the Lodge. Attendance is not as great as it has been before and we are in need of a serious injection of additional wizards and witches next weekend.

If you are remotely inclined to come and be part of the event, we invite you to register at the Trout Lodge with Cat Dickey (1-573-438-2154 extension 115) and then pay whatever dollar amount you choose to purchase a Wrockstock pass. Yes, it is really that serious. It is absolutely vital that we have as many additional attendees as possible to help close the gap. With a registration at the Lodge, all of your meals are included--there is a home-cooked, all-you-can-eat buffet three times a day. All you need to do is get yourself there. When you attend Wrockstock, you become a member of something much bigger than the sum of our parts. You experience a piece of the magic we've read about with people who will become lifelong friends, if they aren't already.

For those of you who have already registered at the full rate, to see the passes being sold for less than you've paid, I understand if you feel angry. Please understand that this is not a flippant stunt. We are truly under the gun. My experience in this community has led me to see it as a largely generous and understanding one, and I truly hope this holds true in this case and you understand my position. It really isn't possible at this juncture to offer refunds, but if anyone wishes to speak with directly about any of this, please email me personally at dracoandthemalfoys@gmail.com.

It is not just for the organizers of Wrockstock, it is the community as a whole that benefits from a successful event. Those planning similar occasions will be more inclined to follow through with their ideas if this one can stay alive, and there will be more opportunities, as time goes on and the memory of the day the last book came out grows more distant, to come together and share what we've built.

So again, if you are at all interested in coming to Wrockstock, I implore you to call Cat Dickey at the Lodge (1-573-438-2154 extension 115), make a reservation and take advantage of our "pay what you choose" Wrockstock registration. We would love to see you next weekend.

We have extended our deadline to the absolute maximum to accommodate you, so you have until 4pm Central on October 27 to call the Lodge and reserve a room. Once you have made your reservation with the Lodge, go to https://www.formspring.com/forms/?223919-Yppu3DakFx to fill out the info form and when submitted it will take you to our paypal page where you can then input a "donation amount" (minimum amount is $1). You will need a Lodge reservation number to do this.

Thank you.
